Harcourt House is a grand Edwardian Grade II listed apartment building located within Cavendish Square in London’s Marylebone, which now presents 25 generously proportioned apartments and penthouses.
Gaining consent for roof top extensions is some what of a specialism for Dmba and we have now achieved this on multiple sites across London, working on both listed and heritage buildings within conservation areas.
The quietest addition can often hold the most value. From single pavilion rooftop extensions, to complete re-configurations, we understand the complex route to achieve planning consent. Our experience has been built up over the years through multiple projects with a full success rate and long-established relationships with planning and design officers.
Harcourt House called for a modern roof top extension, defining a clear break from its listed host building. The design is both simple and elegant, whilst referencing the ornate detail of the stonework façade below.
We always love talking about architecture and what makes it great.
