Weavers’ Yard

Weaver’s Yard will feature a bold and innovative design that transforms the building while upholding Xpercity’s dedication to positive social impact and community cohesion. This development will provide much-needed housing with great transport links and local amenities, improving the living experience for future residents.

The body of Lambert House comprises of simple brickwork, broken by vertical piers, ornamented with brick detailing to the capitols. Our approach is to celebrate the intrinsic detail of the building, and employ it further through contemporary interpretations, displayed at the primary entrance points.

The window positions and fenestration offer a punched opening appearance, in conjunction with corner curtain glazing elements, which draw the eye and reinforce a vertical arrangement. Our intention is to reorientate these elements horizontally, through the use of mid-20th century glazing bar arrangements, enhancing the relationship with the strong horizontal plane of the roof eaves.
